Ordered with a friend. Lady that answered was nice and answered any questions we had about the food. Took about 15 mins to get the food and was hot and fresh when received. We ordered a 3 piece catfish meal and a 601 salad. The fish was seasoned well and the hot honey sauces we asked to be drizzled on top of the fish was a great addition. The meal came with a drink and we decided to get a blue raspberry kool aid which was good. The 601 salad was huge and was packed with toppings. Couldn't finish the salad as there was so much but what I did eat was good. We paid about $40 for our meals but it was worth it. Definitely worth checking out.
I purchased the 3 piece fried catfish meal that comes with a drink and two sides. For my sides I purchased fries and I also went with a premium side which were corn nuggets. I also purchased one fried catfish sandwhich. The fried catfish was prepared on the spot and it was very hot and fresh. The seasonings were very good if not for a wee bit salty (but I find most dishes salty so maybe it's just me). The catfish was crispy on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside. In my opinion it was fried perfectly. In fact I can't even fry catfish this well at home. The corn nuggets and fries were equally fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. The employees were attentive when I walked in, they greeted me, and seemed eager to take my order and as soon as my order was prepared I was notified. It took 10 minutes to prepare my food and that was an excellent wait. While I waited for my food several others came and ordered and I could tell this restaurant does brisk business. I will most definitely return because of the wonderful customer service and quality and quantity of food. 601 Fish and Wings Expres gets 4 Stars!
